Meet the Founder

Business Compass is founded and led by Farid Al-Amudi — a hands-on F&B operator with 25+ years of experience across three countries.

Farid is not a textbook consultant. He started at the bottom — Sheraton Jeddah in 1999, then six years in Australia working every position from the ground up at Crown Plaza. He earned a Bachelor's in Applied Management with honors from Federation University Australia (Golden Key Society), speaking Arabic, English, and German fluently along the way.

Back in Saudi Arabia, Farid served as Operations Manager for LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics — responsible for all KSA operations, legal compliance, projects, HR, and the successful launch of 7 retail locations across Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, and Dhahran with 100% compliance across Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Commerce, SFDA, GOSI, HRDF, Customs, and Municipalities.

Then he became the entrepreneur. He founded HuggaMug Cafe, then built the original Twilight Bar & Lounge into one of Jeddah's most popular social concepts — growing it to 30,000+ followers and peak daily sales of 34,000 SAR. When the data showed 75% of revenue came from beverages, he pivoted and built Drink Culture — a B2B distribution company covering Riyadh, Dammam, Qassim, Medina, Jeddah, Jizan, and Al Namas, with B2B revenue at times exceeding the venue itself.
